Responsibilities
- Analyze complex financial statements, credit reports, and market trends to assess borrower risk profiles
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for commercial loan applications
- Monitor existing credit portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal financing solutions
- Stay current on regulatory requirements (FDIC, OCC, and federal lending guidelines)
- Present credit recommendations to credit committees with clear rationale
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Economics (MBA preferred)
- 4+ years of commercial credit analysis experience with regional banks
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Credit Risk Management Certification (CRCM) or equivalent designation
- Deep understanding of cash flow analysis and collateral valuation
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
