Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive credit risk evaluations for corporate clients using financial modeling and ratio analysis
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for executive review and approval
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify early warning signs of credit deterioration
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal credit terms
- Stay current on industry regulations (FICO, Basel III) and implement compliance protocols
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline credit approval workflows
- Mentor junior analysts and develop departmental best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA or CFA strongly preferred
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking or financial services
- Expert proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, PivotTables) and financial modeling software
- Deep understanding of cash flow analysis, collateral evaluation, and covenant monitoring
- Proven track record of managing complex credit portfolios with minimal defaults
- Excellent written communication skills for producing executive-level credit reports
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Active FINRA Series 63/65/66 licenses or willingness to obtain
