- Assess borrower creditworthiness and prepare detailed credit memos for underwriting committees.
- Monitor existing loan portfolios to identify early signs of default and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue and repayment capacity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline the lending process and improve operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes affecting credit risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial risk management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Understanding of banking regulations and compliance standards (e.g., BSA/AML).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
