Responsibilities
- Analyze complex commercial loan applications for creditworthiness using financial modeling and risk assessment frameworks
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk ratings with actionable recommendations for the credit committee
- Monitor existing loan portfolios for compliance with covenants and identify early warning indicators
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure competitive financing solutions while maintaining risk standards
- Lead due diligence investigations for high-value transactions ($5M+)
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with OCC and FDIC regulations
- Mentor junior analysts and optimize credit analysis workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (MBA/CFA preferred)
- 5+ years commercial credit analysis experience in regulated financial institutions
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and loan origination software
- Strong understanding of cash flow analysis, collateral valuation, and industry risk factors
- Proven ability to interpret complex financial statements and tax returns
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder presentations
- Active CRCM or CAMS certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency required
