Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, market trends, and industry risks to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk reports for senior management review
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with commercial lenders to structure complex financing solutions
- Ensure compliance with federal banking regulations and internal credit policies
- Present findings and recommendations to credit committees
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banking partners and clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking or financial services
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (VBA preferred)
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB, or equivalent) highly desirable
- Demonstrated expertise in assessing SBA loans and commercial real estate
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with credit origination software (e.g., Fiserv, Jack Henry)
