Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and credit metrics to evaluate borrower risk profiles
- Prepare detailed credit recommendations and risk assessments for loan committees
- Monitor existing credit portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with sales teams to structure creative financing solutions for diverse clients
- Stay current with industry regulations and economic trends affecting credit decisions
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement of credit processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
- 5+ years of credit analysis experience in commercial lending or financial services
- Expertise in financial statement analysis, ratio analysis, and cash flow modeling
- Proficiency with credit scoring models and risk assessment frameworks
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with credit software (e.g., Moody's, Fiserv)
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail with exceptional problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial information clearly
- Professional certification (CFA, CRCM) preferred
