Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely month-end and year-end closings.
- Prepare complex financial statements, reports, and analyses for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work independently.
