Responsibilities
- Analyze complex financial statements and credit data to assess borrower risk profiles
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessment reports for loan committees
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with sales teams to structure credit solutions aligned with client needs
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure compliance with lending policies
- Maintain accurate documentation in loan origination systems (e.g., Ellie Mae)
- Present credit recommendations to senior management with clear rationale
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking or lending
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling (Excel, Bloomberg Terminal)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and credit risk assessment frameworks
- Experience with underwriting SBA and commercial real estate loans
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication abilities for presenting complex financial information
- Professional certification (CRCM, CFA) preferred
