Responsibilities
- Analyze complex financial statements, cash flows, and market trends to evaluate credit risk
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessment reports for loan committees
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signals of potential defaults
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure tailored financing solutions
- Stay current with regulatory changes (FIRREA, BSA, etc.) and ensure compliance
- Leverage financial modeling tools (Excel, SQL) to forecast repayment scenarios
- Present findings clearly to senior stakeholders during credit approval meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with VBA experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of cash flow analysis and financial statement interpretation
- Professional certification (CFA, CMA, or CRCM) highly valued
- Exceptional analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Experience with credit scoring models and risk assessment frameworks
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with competing priorities
