Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and market trends to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit reports and risk assessments for commercial and industrial loans
- Collaborate with loan officers to structure optimal financing solutions
- Monitor loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Stay current with regulatory compliance (FIRREA, Basel III, OCC guidelines)
- Maintain accurate documentation in loan origination systems
- Present credit recommendations to loan committee with clear rationale
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Credit Risk Management (CRM) or Commercial Lending certification preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel financial modeling and data analysis
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial ratios, and industry benchmarks
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
