Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and industry trends to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessment reports for portfolio review committees
- Monitor existing loan portfolios for compliance with covenants and identify potential risks
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure credit solutions aligned with client needs
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement compliance requirements in credit processes
- Present credit recommendations clearly to senior management and credit committees
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending institutions
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, ratio analysis, and risk assessment tools
- Strong understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Exceptional Excel skills with experience in financial statement analysis
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Proven ability to manage complex credit portfolios and make sound lending decisions
- Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to executive leadership
