Responsibilities
- Develop & Implement Policies: Design and enforce comprehensive compliance programs and internal policies to mitigate legal and financial risks.
- Conduct Audits: Perform regular internal audits and risk assessments to ensure operational adherence to regulatory standards.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations (e.g., FINRA, SEC, state statutes) and advise leadership on necessary adjustments.
- Training & Education: Conduct mandatory compliance training sessions for staff to foster a culture of ethical behavior and awareness.
- Investigation Management: Lead investigations into potential violations, ensuring fair and thorough resolutions.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed compliance reports to the Board of Directors and executive management.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs role within a corporate environment.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of federal and state compliance regulations relevant to the industry.
- Skills: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations.
- Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to train diverse audiences.
