Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including SEC and FINRA guidelines where applicable.
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in company processes.
- Prepare and submit necessary regulatory reports and documentation to oversight bodies on a timely basis.
- Develop and implement compliance training programs to educate staff on new policies and regulatory changes.
- Investigate internal complaints or potential violations and recommend corrective actions to management.
- Stay updated on legislative changes and industry best practices to ensure the organization remains compliant.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and external auditors to address compliance issues effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a compliance, risk management, or auditing role.
- Strong knowledge of US federal and state compliance regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with flexible hours.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for training and reporting purposes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance management software.
