Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations (e.g., BSA/AML, Fair Lending).
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and operational inefficiencies.
- Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory frameworks, providing timely updates and recommendations to leadership.
- Investigate suspicious activities and ensure timely reporting to relevant regulatory bodies and law enforcement agencies.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for the Board of Directors and senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance, auditing, or regulatory affairs role within the financial services industry.
- Deep understanding of AML (Anti-Money Laundering), BSA (Bank Secrecy Act), and OFAC regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to business operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or similar certification is a plus.
