Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Maintain and update the general ledger system using industry-standard software (QuickBooks Online/Xero).
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements for management.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Assist with tax preparation filings and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline financial workflows and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Pro/Online, Xero, or Sage).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies quickly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
