Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Accurately process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring all invoices are paid on time and receivables are collected promptly.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved immediately.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including P&L and balance sheets.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries and month-end close procedures.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing and tax document preparation (W-2s/1099s) as needed.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial records and reporting are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks and/or Xero is required. Advanced Excel skills are a plus.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors and ensure high levels of accuracy in all tasks.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
