Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accurate data entry for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process and verify payroll entries to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time.
- Prepare and generate standard financial reports, such as balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Assist with the preparation of tax documents and year-end financial close procedures.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders regarding financial inquiries.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to spot discrepancies and resolve them efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
