Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 client portfolios using QuickBooks Online
- Process bi-weekly payroll with meticulous attention to tax compliance
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and investment accounts monthly
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow) for client reviews
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable workflows with aging analysis
- Implement internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies
- Collaborate with CPAs during quarterly and annual audits
- Maintain organized digital filing systems for compliance documentation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Illinois tax regulations
- Proven track record of meeting weekly payroll deadlines
- Experience with multi-entity bookkeeping and inter-company transactions
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or similar credential highly desirable
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail under pressure
