Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage cash flow operations
- Generate monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for client portfolios
- Implement and maintain QuickBooks accounting systems
- Collaborate with auditors during financial reviews and tax season
- Develop financial forecasting models and budgetary recommendations
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Illinois tax regulations
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation
- Exceptional analytical skills with error detection abilities
- Proven track record of meeting weekly deadlines
