Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 small business clients using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Process payroll, sales tax filings, and accounts payable/receivable
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions weekly
- Implement internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP
- Collaborate with CPAs during quarterly tax season
- Maintain organized digital filing systems for audit readiness
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and accounting software
- Strong understanding of Oregon payroll tax regulations
- Detail-oriented with 99.9% data accuracy track record
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a hybrid work environment
- Professional certification (e.g., CB, AIPB) preferred
