This role offers immediate payroll processing every Friday, eliminating traditional bi-weekly wait periods. You'll work with diverse clients from startups to established enterprises, gaining exposure to various industries while maintaining financial accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 client portfolios using QuickBooks Online
- Process weekly payroll and ensure timely tax filings (federal/state/local)
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and investment accounts monthly
- Generate monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and maintain vendor relationships
- Implement internal controls for financial data security
- Collaborate with CPA firms during audit season
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks/Xero
- Proven track record of processing weekly/bi-weekly payroll
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Florida sales tax and payroll tax compliance knowledge
- Associates degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification
- Strong attention to detail with 99%+ reconciliation accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
