Responsibilities
- Accounts Reconciliation: Perform monthly and annual reconciliations of bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, to management.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and ensure all vendor accounts are up to date.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the monthly payroll process, ensuring all timesheets and deductions are accurately recorded.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Software Management: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to track financial data and generate reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Certification: Preference given to candidates with Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation or CPA certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and cloud-based accounting platforms.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data integrity.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
