Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of bookkeeping operations, including sales and purchase ledgers.
- Perform accurate bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations on a weekly basis.
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and annual company tax calculations.
- Process invoices, expenses, and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and audit schedules.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and manage payroll support tasks as required.
- Ensure all financial data is stored securely and backed up appropriately.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role (minimum 3 years).
- Full AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax legislation.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a busy office environment.
