Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with precision
- Process complex payroll and tax filings for 100+ clients
- Generate monthly financial statements and variance analyses
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow
- Implement internal controls for SOX compliance
- Lead month-end close processes within tight deadlines
- Train junior staff on accounting software best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Proven experience with multi-state payroll processing
- Familiarity with sales tax regulations (CA & multi-state)
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
