Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial data.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for stakeholders.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoice verification, approval workflows, and payment scheduling.
- Perform detailed bank reconciliations and manage payroll processing for assigned clients.
- Assist in budget preparation, variance analysis, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain organized, secure, and compliant filing systems for all financial documentation.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure full compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid capacity.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and federal/state tax regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies quickly and accurately.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
