Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile monthly bank statements
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll operations
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheets) for client reviews
- Oversee tax compliance and assist with quarterly/yearly filings
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks, Xero)
- Conduct financial audits and variance analysis
- Train junior staff on accounting procedures
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks/Xero and Excel
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience with nonprofit or multi-client accounting
