Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify payments, and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in QuickBooks.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, trial balances, and P&L reports for management review.
- Payroll Administration: Process bi-weekly payroll for employees and ensure tax filings are up to date.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, journal entries, and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Compliance & Audits: Support external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (desktop and cloud) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting or Finance required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not required.
