Responsibilities
- Manage and process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts monthly.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Process payroll for employees, ensuring tax filings and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing process and audits.
- Manage and maintain the general ledger using QuickBooks or Xero software.
- Perform general bookkeeping duties, including data entry and filing.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
