Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including the Profit & Loss statement and Balance Sheet.
- Process payroll for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online and ADP.
- Assist with federal, state, and local tax filings and quarterly estimated tax payments.
- Monitor general ledger accounts and investigate variances or discrepancies.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to handle large volumes of data accurately.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
