Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 client accounts including AP/AR, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets) with variance analysis
- Oversee QuickBooks Online implementations and customizations for new clients
- Coordinate annual tax preparation with CPA partners and maintain compliance documentation
- Develop and maintain internal financial controls and reporting systems
- Lead month-end closing processes and provide financial insights to clients
- Mentor junior bookkeepers and optimize accounting workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CPB certification preferred)
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Expertise in multi-state payroll processing and tax compliance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with VBA knowledge
- Proven experience with financial reporting for service-based businesses
- Strong understanding of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification required
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
