Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare month-end and year-end financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and vendor relationships
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for multi-state operations
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks Online, Xero)
- Conduct financial audits and prepare supporting documentation
- Collaborate with CFOs to develop financial forecasting models
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years experience in full-cycle bookkeeping for mid-size companies
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and accounting software
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and California labor laws
- Proven ability to manage complex multi-state payroll systems
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial statement analysis
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation
- Exceptional communication skills for client-facing interactions
