Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full-cycle bookkeeping process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Perform accurate and timely bank reconciliations and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for clients.
- Process payroll accurately and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure seamless tax filing processes.
- Maintain and organize financial records and documentation for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or high-volume corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage Intacct.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Knowledge of GAAP principles and California tax regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
