Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online for small business clients
- Process accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations monthly
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analyses
- Manage payroll processing for 10+ clients using Gusto
- Assist with tax preparation documentation and year-end closing
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
- Train junior bookkeepers on accounting best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- CPA certification or equivalent accounting degree preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage multiple client portfolios
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with payroll processing systems (Gusto preferred)
- Attention to detail with 100% accuracy in financial reporting
