Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll transactions
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations for diverse client portfolios
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred)
- Lead month-end closing procedures and audit support activities
- Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to business owners
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- Proven expertise in full-cycle accounting and reconciliation processes
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- Familiarity with multi-state tax compliance requirements
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify discrepancies
- Professional certification (e.g., CB, CPB) highly valued
