Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 small business clients using QuickBooks Online
- Process accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end closings
- Prepare financial statements, P&L reports, and sales tax filings
- Implement and maintain organized digital filing systems for client documents
- Coordinate with CPAs during annual audits and tax preparation
- Train junior bookkeepers on company accounting protocols
- Provide proactive financial insights to improve client cash flow
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- Proven expertise in sales tax compliance for California businesses
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- Strong attention to detail with error reconciliation experience
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for client consultations
- QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification required
