Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Manage the full-cycle bookkeeping process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly financial statements, profit and loss reports, and balance sheets to provide actionable insights to management.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all financial records comply with GAAP standards and federal regulations; assist with year-end audits.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize QuickBooks and Excel to track expenses, manage budgets, and generate reports.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounting department.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate or accounting firm environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; High school diploma with equivalent experience accepted.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (or Xero) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to detect errors and maintain high levels of accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
