As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will be the gatekeeper of our financial accuracy, handling complex reconciliations and reporting with precision. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to a company that values excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax filings and quarterly sales tax returns.
- Process payroll entries and maintain employee timekeeping records accurately.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures in compliance with GAAP.
- Utilize QuickBooks Online and Excel to generate financial forecasts and variance analysis.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Pro/Premier and advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) skills.
- Experience with Xero or Sage is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
