Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and prepare monthly financial statements to support management decision-making.
- Process payroll for a diverse portfolio of clients using QuickBooks Online and Xero.
- Assist with monthly and year-end closing procedures, including adjusting entries and financial reporting.
- Reconcile credit card statements and identify discrepancies for resolution.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date digital and physical filing systems for all financial records.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to optimize workflows and implement best practices.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Experience with Sage 50 or NetSuite is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in complex financial data.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
