Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable with precision and timeliness
- Prepare financial statements including balance sheets and profit/loss reports
- Manage payroll processing and tax filings for 50+ employees
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implement and improve accounting systems using QuickBooks Online
- Collaborate with CPAs during audits and tax season
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Proven track record of multi-client financial management
- Familiarity with Virginia state tax regulations
- Relevant certification (e.g., QuickBooks ProAdvisor, AAP) preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
