Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll records
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions monthly
- Manage sales tax filings and ensure compliance with Arizona state regulations
- Assist with annual budget preparation and variance analysis
- Implement and maintain efficient bookkeeping systems using QuickBooks Online
- Collaborate with CPAs during audit preparation and tax season
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables)
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and Arizona tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Excellent attention to detail with error reconciliation skills
- Professional certification (e.g., QuickBooks ProAdvisor) a plus
