Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with precision
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with Illinois state tax regulations and GAAP standards
- Oversee payroll processing and tax filings for 50+ employees
- Assist in annual budget preparation and forecasting activities
- Implement process improvements for financial record-keeping efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience in Illinois
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Deep knowledge of Illinois state tax requirements and compliance
- Proven experience managing multi-entity accounting systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
