Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle bookkeeping process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax remittances and returns.
- Collaborate with accountants and external auditors during year-end reviews.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in financial data.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with clients and team members professionally.
