Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are recorded accurately and payments are made on time.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax documents (1099s, W-2s).
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures to ensure financial records are up to date.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; equivalent professional experience is accepted.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Must possess strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or Bookkeeping) is a plus.
