Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify vendor data, and ensure timely payment while maintaining accurate ledger balances.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved immediately.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for review by management.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in processing payroll for employees, ensuring tax withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Update and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and properly classified.
- Tax Preparation Support: Gather necessary financial data to support the annual tax filing process for clients and the company.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero; advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) are required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain data integrity in high-volume environments.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and team members professionally.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
