Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll for diverse client portfolios
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheets, income statements) and quarterly tax filings
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks systems for client financial workflows
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in a professional services setting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop and Microsoft Excel
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation preferred
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Strong communication abilities for client-facing interactions
