Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare month-end and year-end financial statements including balance sheets and income statements
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and process payroll for 15+ clients
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and state-specific tax regulations in Indiana
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks systems for client efficiency
- Conduct internal audits and financial reporting for stakeholders
- Collaborate with CPA firms during tax season and audits
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro/Premier
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification a plus
- Deep understanding of Indiana sales tax and payroll regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Proven track record of meeting monthly close deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
