Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile complex general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll systems
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit/loss reports
- Manage tax filings and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems
- Collaborate with CFO on budget forecasting and financial strategy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in a professional services environment
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and advanced Excel functions
- Proven track record of managing multi-entity accounting systems
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with 100% accuracy in financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into clear reports
- Excellent communication skills for client-facing interactions
