Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for diverse clients
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and ensure timely vendor payments
- Oversee payroll processing and compliance with federal/state regulations
- Implement and optimize accounting systems (QuickBooks, Xero) for operational efficiency
- Conduct financial audits and prepare supporting documentation for tax filings
- Collaborate with CFOs to provide strategic financial insights and forecasting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent professional certification (CPA, CMA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience in public or corporate accounting
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero platforms
- Deep understanding of GAAP principles and IRS compliance requirements
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to identify discrepancies and trends
- Proven track record of managing multi-client accounting portfolios
- Strong communication skills for explaining financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
- Remote work experience with demonstrated self-discipline and time management
