Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Lead audit coordination for external and internal financial reviews
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow management
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Maintain accurate financial records in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle experience preferred)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP)
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial data to stakeholders
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and auditing procedures
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in deadline-driven environments
