Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure all records match actual balances.
  • Process payroll for all employees using QuickBooks Online or ADP, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain the General Ledger, including journal entries and adjusting entries, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and variance analysis.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, resolve billing discrepancies, and maintain a healthy vendor relationships.
  • Assist external auditors and tax professionals with year-end audits and tax filings.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Pro or Xero accounting software; experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and MS Office Suite.
  • Deep understanding of GAAP principles and general accounting practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or CPA designation is highly desirable.
